Cycling the scenic Wenatchee Valley

Bike riders in the Wenatchee Sunrise Rotary Century Bike Ride

By Alice Thompson

We never know what kind of bikes riders will pedal in our Apple Century Bike Ride.

One guy rode the entire 100 miles on a “fixie,” a fixed-gear bicycle.

One of our Sunrise Rotary Club members, Dave Whitmore, put our first bike ride together 29 years ago.  We’ve been on a roll ever since.

The Apple Century Bike Ride on June 4, will take you through the Wenatchee Valley’s orchard and wine country as well as in and around the beautiful Leavenworth and Lake Wenatchee areas.

The rides are 25 miles, 50 miles and 100 miles in length.

The ride is always the first Saturday in June.
